Elves are believed to originate from Norse folklore, and it was was known that Elves were originally the spirits of the dead who brought fertility. They are either very beautiful, like the Elves of Light or very very ugly, like the Dark Elves. Elves can be found to live in trees, mountains and waterfalls. It was in the British Isles where the King of Elves lived. King Oberon and Queen Titania were the powerful rulers of all Elves, or lovingly known as Elfdom. Although it is not widely known, the King of Elves also ruled the Gnomes. Gnomes are a race of small, dwarf-like creatures that lived underground, the gnomes are very very sensitive to sunlight and believed that sunlight would turn them into stone, that is why these Gnomes spend the hours during the day as a toad.
