Besides King Tutankhamun, Queen Nefertiti is perhaps the next most well known ancient egyptian figure today, Nefertiti was the beautiful wife of Akhenaten and mother to his six daughters, she was one of the most famous Egyptian Queens that had ever lived in Ancient Egypt. She is often portrayed wearing a unique style of crown, and officiating in religious ceremonies alongside the King. After Queen Nefertiti, Queen Nefertari the wife of Ramesses II the Great and mother of some of his children was the next most widely known queen in Ancient Eqypt. She was deified like her husband and the small temple at Abu Simbel. She had the most beautiful tomb in the Valley of the Queens.
